Event Planner and Business Coach

with over 20 years of experience in event planning and hospitality, and 10 years in entrepreneurship. She is the founder of M2 Hospitality and Events4Anyone, the host of the podcast The Unstoppable Eventrepreneur™, and the author of the book The Unstoppable Eventrepreneur™.

May is a happy wife, proud mom and successful eventrepreneur

Her journey began in her home country of Singapore where she took on a position as a food and beverage trainee at the Raffles Hotel, Singapore. It was there that she fell in love with the hospitality industry and decided to pursue a career in the field.

After being in the hospitality field for 7 years, May decided to take a sabbatical and became a senior sales executive for a sports management company. It was there that she learned to cut her teeth on sales, cold calling, and negotiation.

After being one of the top sales person in the company, her passion for the hospitality and events field brought her to Miami, Florida in 2004 where she helped to establish the events and food & beverage departments at The Setai, a brand new luxury hotel overlooking the iconic South Beach.

May eventually
worked her way up

to Director of Catering and Conference Services and Director of Event Planning at several luxury hotels, including the JW Marriott Marquis Miami and The Royal Palm, South Beach, where she was part of the hotel’s opening team.

In 2012, May left the hospitality field and created her own event planning company, M2 Hospitality where she worked with well-known corporate clients like HSBC, Greenberg Taurig, Cartier, JPMorgan and Chase, and Mastercard to name a few. May’s approach to events ensured her clients would get the best negotiated contracts, the highest level of service, and the most memorable experiences for their attendees. She married her previous experience as an insider in the hospitality industry with her sales and negotiation skills to ensure that all parties mutually benefit from the contracts negotiated and built a lasting business relationship.

Today,

May continues to plan events but has shifted her focus to helping 6-8 figure coaches plan transformational events that have a positive ROI, both tangible and intangible.

May and her team

focus on creating events that are financially beneficial, deepen relationships and build brands, while ensuring guests feel valued and well taken care of.

May is committed to changing the narrative that events don’t make money, and committed to helping entrepreneurs use events as an incredible tool to increase their revenue and brand power.

May’s unique approach to building her event planning business (no inventory, no expensive overhead), and her entrepreneurial spirit, led her to start Events4Anyone, a coaching company designed to help event planners start and grow their event planning businesses. May is passionate about helping her coaching clients understand the ins and outs of the event planning industry, while giving them the mindset shifts and the no-nonsense support they need to turn their passion into profits.
